So hear the invitation of God today to go and find the Christ child. The Prince of Peace. The one who takes all our sins and all our sorrows and turns them into everything good. The one that will take us to be with him forever. Run to him. Embrace him and embrace your alien God.
Has “to live is Christ” become your only hope in life and death. Has your union with Christ allowed you the freedom to say with Simeon, “Now I can depart in peace?”
When we know why we exist, we then know how to exist. When we know what happens when we die, we then know how to live. When we know that God is with us, we then know how to be with others.
“To live is Christ” means that God’s peace dwells in our hearts because, through our union with Christ, God is as pleased with us as he is with his Son.
The virgin Mary didn’t make Jesus’ life. Jesus was a gift to her. His life was given by God and placed into her life. United to hers. By grace. The same grace that is for us all. Why? Because advents are for everyone. God is for everyone. Jesus is for everyone. Will you be for him?
