“To live is Christ” has made us children of light. We are not light so that we can avoid darkness. We are light so that we can dispel darkness while spreading God’s light. We don’t “hide our light under a bushel.” NO! We walk as children of light.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.

Yes, advents always begin in darkness, but God never lets them stay there. He always shines a light. Samson. Jesus. You. Me. We are the light of God in this world of darkness shining the light of self-sacrifice through the life and light of Christ in us.
“To live is Christ” is life lived out as light that first exposes, then makes visible, then transforms into more light. Therefore, we are not light so that we can avoid darkness. We are light so that we can dispel darkness while spreading God’s light. We don’t “hide our light under a bushel.” NO! We walk as children of light.
Christ in us is the ultimate reality shining in our very beings. To see Christ is to see the face of God and live. God’s glory not just with or around us, but IN us. Now “to live is Christ” is to have an illuminated heart by this indwelling glory of God. In Christ, we can truly know our God. We can look into his face and not just survive, but truly thrive.
