“To live is Christ” is life in the kingdom of God that only comes through repentance and belief. And that is good news!
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is life in the kingdom of God that only comes through repentance and belief. And that is good news!
“To live is Christ” means that you have been given the righteousness of Christ. His holiness. His standing. His acceptance. His perfection. His belonging. His worthiness. Now our weakness is no longer shaming. It has been absorbed into the death of Christ and resurrected as a new power – the power to love. To empathize, and care, and be real, and be vulnerable, and dare greatly.
And so here we are, trapped in the dead end of the law. Deceived into thinking that what condemns us will actually justify us. If only there was a whole new way to live. If only there was “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” has made you a giver. A sharer of the good news of God and of your own self. May God grant us his grace today as we seek to share life with others, both pointing them to Christ and being Christ to them in these difficult days.
So are you experiencing the power of Christ by the Holy Spirit? Are you patient in hope, worshiping from faith, and laboring in love for others? Only the gospel can empower such living. Only our union with Christ can provide the hope needed for this kind of power. Resurrection power. The power of “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” is life in the kingdom of God that only comes through repentance and belief. And that is good news! No more trying to figure out the Christian life. No more “just tell me what to do.” Instead, just tell me what Christ has already done. That’s all we need to know.
