Is your life in Christ a gift to the world? A beacon of hope? A message of mercy? A response to injustice? May it be so this Christmas season and for as long as we wait for our Lord’s return.
It is only when we experience “to live is Christ” that we will experience his peace on Earth. It is only when we see that “good will to man” is the man Christ Jesus that we will experience the grace of our union with God.
The final advent is now something we actually look forward to with great anticipation. In fact, our entire lives, our entire ethic, our entire motivation is rooted in this return of the King. It is not our greatest fear. It is our greatest hope!
He’s not worthy because he overpowered us. He’s worthy because he was overpowered for us. He’s worthy because in the weakness of his cross he conquered all that would destroy us.
Nothing can separate us from God’s love for us. Nothing. No angel. No demon. No cosmic ruler. And not even the hardest thing ever – waiting.
