“To live is Christ” means your filth is gone. Your garments are pure. The stain of sin is removed forever. Christ’s turban of our shared holiness is on his head. Satan is silenced. And all because of our union with Christ on that single day.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.

Jesus has turned the day of the Lord, and therefore every day of our lives, from reeling to rejoicing. This rejoicing is “to live is Christ.” This exultation is our union with Christ. This song is our salvation.
“To live is Christ” means we are the righteous who are alive by faith in Christ, and are now living out that faithfulness of Christ. No matter what. No matter how dark it gets. No matter how hard. We who have been freely given righteousness now able to live each moment by faith in the God of our salvation.
“To live is Christ” means that every yoke is broken and ever shackle is burst open. And now we gladly wear the easy yoke of Christ. A bondage that brings his freedom. Freedom from the self. Freedom from the Worthless One’s lies. Freedom from the army of darkness surrounding our hearts. And that’s good news!
“To live is Christ” is to have the One who IS our peace. This is not a peace you must earn or achieve, for that would bring no peace at all. It is a peace that is freely given simply as the life of Jesus the gracious Shepherd King of our hearts.
“To live is Christ” means that now Christ’s loving anger is fueling our love for others. His selfless anger aimed at all that would destroy this world, and enslave others in sin. His selfless love that would make us angry enough to die, even for Nineveh.
