If you can see yourself as God’s child, born of God, participating in his own nature, then, you might just find that your doing has begun to match your being. You might just find that your “to live” looks like it “is Christ.”
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.

Yes, advents always begin in darkness, but God never lets them stay there. He always shines a light. Samson. Jesus. You. Me. We are the light of God in this world of darkness shining the light of self-sacrifice through the life and light of Christ in us.
When our glorious brother and savior-king looks on us with his eyes of perfect love and grace, then we will know fully “to live is Christ.”
Jesus is not on any one person’s or one nation’s side. Jesus is on the side of God. God is on God’s side. The Trinity is for the Trinity. And so when it comes to humanity, God is on everyone’s side. Because all of humanity has a worship problem. A holiness defect.
“To live is Christ” means that when we sin we have a propitiation and a parakletos. We have an advocate whose blood speaks a better word for us.
The good news is that the indwelling life of Christ can move us beyond law keeping into the glory and goodness of God’s unconditional love for us in the advent of Christ into our heart.
