To live is Christ is to be so full of God’s covenant love and faithfulness that even the caves of life can’t stop our unifying praise from rising up to Jesus.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
To live is Christ is to be so full of God’s covenant love and faithfulness that even the caves of life can’t stop our unifying praise from rising up to Jesus.
In Christ this too is our greatest desire – the exaltation of Christ through our cruciform lives. Our immediate rescue takes a back seat to his glory. Our purpose no longer our own glory, but God’s glory reigning over all the earth as we embrace to live is Christ.
To live is Christ means that when it feels like you can know nothing else in this life you can know this one thing, God is for you. He intimately keeps track of your tossings and carefully collects your tears. What wondrous grace in Christ.
To live is Christ means no mere mortal can do anything to us that threatens our eternal victory and reward. With Jesus we never have to fear those who can destroy the flesh, because no flesh can destroy our spirit.
To live is Christ is to humbly and faithfully allow God to use the people in our lives to bring he submission to his will that he desires, knowing that we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood but with an enemy whose place in the pit is already eternally reserved.
In joining his own crucified life to ours he is inviting us to bring our complaints to God, letting him know how we feel, yet submitting to his will over ours. This is what Christ did and this is to live is Christ.
