“To live is Christ” is to have the fruitfulness of Christ’s life of love.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to have the fruitfulness of Christ’s life of love.
“To live is Christ” restores the image and likeness of God to humanity as we become like Jesus.
“To live is Christ” is to receive God’s love. A love that created us and recreates us. A love that overcomes our darkness with light. A love that gives shape and fullness to our otherwise formless and empty lives.
May we today and every day pray, “Come Lord Jesus!”, while we remember that our Lord Jesus has already come into our hearts. This new year may we live as if we are already there. Let’s live as if “to live is Christ.”
This year don’t place your hope in the new year. Place your hope in the new creation, the new birth. Our new reality that is found in Christ and his unfailing covenant presence. And we don’t need a calendar change for that. No resolutions necessary. Just faith in “to live is Christ.”
The end of days vision of “to live is Christ” is two star crossed lovers, emerging from the wilderness, leaning on each other.
