Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” isn’t just something that happens to us, it is an invitation into what God is doing through us.
“To live is Christ” means we are the living embodiment of God’s great big YES. All of his promises are fulfilled in Christ and now in us. How do we know? Because he has anointed and sealed us with himself, the Spirit, by the indwelling life of Christ. God has preserved us for future glory. Now we can say yes to God. Yes to serving. Yes to sacrifice. Yes to love.
“To live is Christ” means we are never alone in our suffering, and we are never meant to leave others alone in theirs. May the God of all comfort grant us the comfort of Christ’s love and life in our suffering. May we reject selfish isolation, and embrace the ministry of shared suffering and shared comfort today and every day until Jesus returns for his bride.
“To live is Christ” is to live in his steadfast, immovable, abounding love so that we might live today from his eternal work of love.
“To live is Christ” makes our life an everlasting journey toward greater and greater glory. A journey we will experience both spiritually and physically in God’s presence. This is the imperishable life that God had planned for us since the beginning. In Christ, it is our once again.
“To live is Christ” offers us true meaning. We share the divine nature of the last Adam. We have his life. His good life. Forever.
