“To live is Christ” is this same hiddenness of God. His glory is hidden in our shame. Our weakness. Our sacrifice. Our folly. Our light and momentary affliction. Our messed up life. Our cross.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.

“To live is Christ” is to live simultaneously in suffering and glory. The glory of God’s grace found in the cruciform life. Knowing that living this cruciform life today prepares for us an experience of grace in the presence of Christ beyond any light or momentary affliction we are going through today.
“To live is Christ” means living the crucified life. The life of dying unto the glory of god’s grace. Sacrificing for the sake of others that they too might find the life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to have an illuminated heart by the indwelling glory of God. In Christ, we can truly know our God.
“To live is Christ” means present and complete transformation into the image of God because we are in Christ. And because Christ is in us, it means we are slowly and progressively being changed from one degree of Christ’s glory to the next by grace through faith and into his same self-sacrificing love.
“To live is Christ” is to live beholding the glory of the cross. How? By letting everything in life take our hearts on a journey to the blazing center of God’s love and grace found in Jesus and his death and resurrection.
