“To live is Christ” is to receive God’s love. A love that created us and recreates us. A love that overcomes our darkness with light. A love that gives shape and fullness to our otherwise formless and empty lives.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to receive God’s love. A love that created us and recreates us. A love that overcomes our darkness with light. A love that gives shape and fullness to our otherwise formless and empty lives.
To live is Christ” has radically changed who we are, and at the same time radically allows us to stay as we are. We no longer need to fantasize about escaping our circumstances. We can choose to love, respect, and serve Christ by loving, respecting, and serving those that God has placed in front of us. All to the glory of God.
We don’t need another “to-do” list. We don’t need more regulations and principles. We have exactly what we need. The life of Jesus, his heart, his desires, his affections becoming our own. We have “to live is Christ.”
To live is Christ” means we have put on the new self that is being renewed into the knowledge of Christ’s image. And that means there is no longer any room for division among us. We are all equal in our need for grace. We are all equal in God’s love for us. Because we are all in Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to seek with all our hearts the love of the Father whose love first sought and found us.
One day everything else in the universe will also be brought to its fullest potential. It’s true self. Everything will function exactly how God intended for it to function. God’s just rule will be established everywhere. Christ will reign supreme. It’s coming. And “to live is Christ” is the first-fruits. What has happened to us will happen to the rest of the universe when Jesus returns for his children. O Glorious day!
