The growing and progressing Christian knows that life only comes out of death and defeat. Trusting the Spirit to minister the death of the old and the life of the new in us as we choose more and more to trust in “to live is Christ.”

“To live is Christ” has placed us both into Christ, and therefore into one another. Through this mutual koinonia we can now live out the great exchange of Jesus for each other. Sharing our position of freedom in Christ with those who desperately need his grace.
“To live is Christ” has made God’s love the controlling force in our lives. Now we can appeal to one another from his love, not just his authority. From Christ, not compulsion.
“To live is Christ” allows us to see past the messiness of the church and into the hearts of others where we see that Jesus is up to something. Yes, it’s slow and messy. But it’s also beautiful. Just ask Philemon and Onesimus.
