“To live is Christ” means never, ever, ever, decreasing in our need for grace.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means never, ever, ever, decreasing in our need for grace.
This Advent season, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, lay your head on the rock of Bethel and hear God say, I am with you. I’ll never leave you. And I will bring you home.
The more and more you believe that you have freely and graciously been given everything you need for life and godliness by your Savior King you will, quite naturally, be determined to add these gifts on to your life by faith in Christ.
This Christmas season may we be the sons of Abraham. The children of faith. Faith in all the promises of God. Faith in the return of THE Son. And faith in our union with Christ that sustains us in our waiting by his love.
Do you really believe that you have already been given everything you need for life and godliness today, and every day? Or are you still waiting on God to give you more than Jesus’ life? Are you still waiting for God to do more than the cross? More than the resurrection? More than “to live is Christ?”
This advent, while we wait upon the Lord’s return, while we wait for God’s coming flood, may we run, not into the ark of Christmas, but into the ark of Christ. His faithfulness. His salvation. His rest.
