“To live is Christ” means we are justified by God’s grace. Which in turn means we have peace with God, access into grace, the hope of glory, and even joy in suffering.

August 10, 2020. Day 223: An eternal weight of glory.
“To live is Christ” is to live simultaneously in suffering and glory. The glory of God’s grace found in the cruciform life. Knowing that living this cruciform life today prepares for us an experience of grace in the presence of Christ beyond any light or momentary affliction we are going through today.
July 31, 2020. Day 213: We share abundantly in comfort too.
“To live is Christ” means we are never alone in our suffering, and we are never meant to leave others alone in theirs. May the God of all comfort grant us the comfort of Christ’s love and life in our suffering. May we reject selfish isolation, and embrace the ministry of shared suffering and shared comfort today and every day until Jesus returns for his bride.
July 29, 2020. Day 211: Death is swallowed up in victory.
“To live is Christ” is to swallow evil. No more running. No more hiding. No more revenge. Because death, evil, and suffering can no longer defeat us, we can now face them with the resurrection power of Christ. Transforming them into his life and love, his goodness and service.
April 6, 2020. Day 97: Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us.
“To live is Christ” means trusting the reality of your fire proof life. And as you trust Christ’s life more and more, your faith will prove to the world the grace and faithfulness of God in Christ. The world will see you walk around unbound in the midst of the fire with Jesus and they will declare like Nebuchadnezzar, “there is no other God who is able to rescue in this way.”
March 1, 2020. Day 61: I know that my Redeemer lives.
“To live is Christ” gives us a response to our suffering unlike any other. Not “such is life,” or “it could have been worse,” or “I just have to move on.” Our response in Christ is far greater. “For I know that my Redeemer lives and at last he will stand upon the earth.” This is a hope that can actually sustain you. This is a hope that can actually bring you to a place of worship in your sorrow. This is a hope in a Redeemer God that will resurrect, restore, and renew all that you have ever lost in this life.
