“To live is Christ” is to continue to allow the law to reveal your abounding sin, and then to turn to the super-abounding grace of God in Christ. A grace that can never be stopped as it leads us through righteousness and into eternal life.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to continue to allow the law to reveal your abounding sin, and then to turn to the super-abounding grace of God in Christ. A grace that can never be stopped as it leads us through righteousness and into eternal life.
Truly “to live is Christ” means becoming what we already are.
“To live is Christ” is to live in his steadfast, immovable, abounding love so that we might live today from his eternal work of love.
“To live is Christ” is to face suffering beyond what we can bear, but it is to never face a temptation beyond what you can bear. Until Christ returns the temptations will always be there. But in Christ we have all we need to run away. All the hope, all the faith, and all the love we need to take up the cross, and escape into resurrection life.
“To live is Christ” means your filth is gone. Your garments are pure. The stain of sin is removed forever. Christ’s turban of our shared holiness is on his head. Satan is silenced. And all because of our union with Christ on that single day.
“To live is Christ” means that Jesus has replaced your broken cistern of deadly water with his indwelling river of living water. Jesus, the spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:14), is IN YOU. No more digging holes to satisfy your desires. No more searching for satisfaction. Just drinking from his ever present stream of thirst quenching love.
