To live is Christ means that we can feel the heavy hand of God without losing hope, always trusting that it is his beloved children that he disciplines.
Does your sin drive you toward God? Does it reveal your longings, your desires? Desires that you then place before Christ? Does your guilt bring out all of your self-defenses, explanations, excuses, rebukes?
To live is Christ is to always remember the hopelessness of our natural state before God’s grace came rushing in by faith. Faith in the propitiating satisfaction of Christ’s shed blood for us.

By becoming the curse for us he ended the curse of sin and death in the life of every Christian. That’s what Christmas is all about – curse breaking and blessing giving.
