It is God’s good pleasure that “to live is Christ” be our life. And God always gets what he wants in the end.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
It is God’s good pleasure that “to live is Christ” be our life. And God always gets what he wants in the end.
“To live is Christ” is being a whole new person and therefore we have a whole new walk. But the pattern remains. We ALREADY put off the old man and put on the new man once and for all. Now we can daily put off the dead man’s clothes and put on the new clothes of Christ and his grace.
“To live is Christ” is to do all for the glory of God. Christ in us makes this possible. His life in you allows you to live for the good of others and thus display the glory and goodness of God.
“To live is Christ” is to face suffering beyond what we can bear, but it is to never face a temptation beyond what you can bear. Until Christ returns the temptations will always be there. But in Christ we have all we need to run away. All the hope, all the faith, and all the love we need to take up the cross, and escape into resurrection life.
“To live is Christ” is unlike any other religion on earth. It is all of grace and all of Christ. He has freely given us his life and all that comes with it – wisdom, goodness, holiness, freedom. We have been given these things for free in order to freely be these things.
“To live is Christ” means we are God’s beloved children, who are never alone, even when we face grueling temptation, for Jesus, our brother and our champion, faced grueling temptation alone in our place, and won.
