Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
Knowing Christ’s resurrection power through the fellowship of suffering and the likeness of his death. This is “to live is Christ.”
You are being transformed into Christ. How do I know? Because it is God’s good pleasure that “to live is Christ” be our life. And God always gets what he wants in the end.
“To live is Christ” is to live daily in this ongoing pattern of put off and put on. We have already put off the old man and put on the new man once and for all. Now we can daily put off the dead man’s clothes and put on the new clothes of Christ and his grace.
“To live is Christ” is this daily process of knowing, considering, and presenting. Knowing you are dead to sin. Considering yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus. And then presenting your actions to God as his own actions in the world.
“To live is Christ” is to live beholding the glory of the cross. How? By letting everything in life take our hearts on a journey to the blazing center of God’s love and grace found in Jesus and the glory of his cross.
Christian, let’s start where “to live is Christ” demands that we must – with simple faith. Simple beholding. Simple worship. Simply being loved.
