But if he is all these things (and more), and he is, then may the redeemed of the Lord say so. That’s to live is Christ – to not only live in the redeemed state, but to declare our redemption to the world around us. Praise the Lord!
Are you still trying to convince God to do what you want, or are you trusting God’s covenant promises in Christ to do what he wants, when he wants? To live is Christ is always the latter.
“To live is Christ” is to be rescued, ransomed, and set apart in holiness. Rescued from the power of sin. Ransomed from the penalty of sin. And therefore set apart from sin’s pleasure into the greater pleasure of God’s grace in Christ.
