To live is Christ is to experience life in the continuous presence of God. Grasped, guided, glorified.
To live is Christ is to be free from the swift and terrifying judgment of God. In Christ we are on solid ground no matter what the situation of life looks like.
Union with Christ allows us to fight against our own resentment of God and “sinners,” and our resistance of God’s fierce attack against our remaining self-righteousness, as he replaces it with the righteousness of Jesus.
To live is Christ means living with all the biggest questions of life already answered by Jesus, his life and death. Now trusting those answers is what remains.
To live is Christ is to battle envy with faith, ever trusting that God is truly good to the pure in heart – those whose hearts have been made pure by faith in Christ.
