To lives is Christ is to courageously, joyously, praise the Lord Jesus even before the sun has come up. Literally? Sure. Figuratively? For sure.
Christ in us protects us from this destruction. Union with Christ keeps our hearts rejoicing in the works and THE WORK of Christ for as long as we live, and as long as we have being, which in Christ is forever. Life without end. Joy without end. That’s to live is Christ.
So plan your praise if you must, or let it break forth spontaneously if it can. Whatever you do today make sure praise is part of it. Christ, the Right Arm of God, has rescued you and brought you into his life – to live is Christ. If that doesn’t produce a joyful noise in you I don’t know what will.
In the New Testament Jesus is crowned as the Lord that we sing praise to, the great God who made all things (Col. 1; Heb. 1), the King that we bow down to (Phil. 2). And to live is Christ supplies the power for this praise.
To live is Christ is to let the joy of knowing Christ’s love flow out of our hearts in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.
