Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
To live is Christ is to not only see Christ in God’s word, but to be transformed by the living Law of God (Jesus) as one who is free from the dominion of sin and shares the heart of God in the world today so that every spoken word of ours can be an acceptable offering to him.
Because of “to live is Christ,” the force of condemnation – excusing and accusing – is no longer at work in our conscience. Now our conscience is guided by the love of Christ. And the more we allow the gospel to overwhelm our hearts, the more we can listen to our conscience, and follow it into the presence of God.
