“To live is Christ” is to be full of Christ’s Spirit of living water. To be fully accepted, not for what we have done, but in spite of what we have done. It is to constantly ask for and receive so much of God’s love and grace that we naturally overflow Jesus, gushing out his eternal life to all around us. Finally, our soul’s thirsts, to be loved and to love, both fully satisfied in Christ.
“To live is Christ” means that Jesus has replaced your broken cistern of deadly water with his indwelling river of living water. Jesus, the spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:14), is IN YOU. No more digging holes to satisfy your desires. No more searching for satisfaction. Just drinking from his ever present stream of thirst quenching love.
“To live is Christ” is a journey through the wilderness. This life will make you thirsty along the way. It will test your desires. It will make you ask, “Is the Lord among us or not?” Look at the rock, Christ Jesus.
