“To live is Christ” means no more fear of dying and no more fear of living.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means no more fear of dying and no more fear of living.
Every question has been answered, and the answer is Jesus. The dark day of his cross has broken through all the darkness in us with the burning light of the great I Am. The light and life of “to live is Christ.”
If “to live is Christ,” then to live is to live the crucified life. A life made possible by our death with Jesus that has ended all striving, all earning, and all performing. And when all of that SELF is stripped away, now you can truly find your life in losing it.
“To live is Christ” is learning to be Christ’s treasure, and then learning to treasure Christ in that same way. It is living in the understanding that God gave up everything for you and for me. Even his own life. It is seeing that God is obsessed with you, and would go to any lengths to have you. Living for you. Dying for you. And even living in you. Forever securing his treasure as his own.
“To live is Christ” is never about giving to God. It’s about receiving the best Gift you could ever get, from the best Giver ever – the love and life of our God and Savior Jesus. Now may we live lives as the givers of his love as Christ lives and loves in us.
“To live is Christ” means that we have been much more than “born again.” We have been born from above. God’s life our life. Christ’s eternal love and holiness ours in him. God’s Spirit in us as the person of Jesus Christ. This is the glory that all of scripture and every promise of God has brought us to see- Christ on a cross, lifted up for us, so that his eternal life may be ours in him.
