“To live is Christ” is only possible for you and me because Jesus Christ said, like Paul would 700 years later, “to die is gain.”
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is only possible for you and me because Jesus Christ said, like Paul would 700 years later, “to die is gain.”
“To live is Christ” means that we live beyond the Passover. Our union with Christ’s cross has destroyed our sins once for all. And our union with Christ’s resurrection has placed us into God himself. Not an appeased God who moves on. A pleased God who moves in.
“To live is Christ” means we can trust the gentle and compassionate sin removal process of our Lamb. As we behold the Lamb’s sacrifice for us on the cross, our hearts are drawn in love and grace to him as all else fades away.
“To live is Christ” means no more wondering what is the meaning of life. It is Christ. Our worthy Lamb. It is living for his glory as his co-regents on earth. Someday? Yes. Today? Yes. Every day? By his grace.
“To live is Christ” means we can trust the gentle and compassionate sin removal process of our Lamb. As we behold the Lamb’s sacrifice for us on the cross, our hearts are drawn in love and grace to him as all else fades away.
“To live is Christ” is only possible because Jesus Christ said “to die is gain.” His substitutionary death for us as our Suffering Servant has gained for him the love of his life. You. Me. And it has gained for us all that is his. His righteousness. His reward. His interceding grace. His life.
