“To live is Christ” reminds us of who we really are. We are super heroes. Filled with the power of the cross. Filled with the love of Christ.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” reminds us of who we really are. We are super heroes. Filled with the power of the cross. Filled with the love of Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to have the mind of Christ. His thoughts. His understanding. His knowledge. This is not mind control. It’s faith. It’s seeing Christ as all truth, all knowledge, and all understanding. His life and his death answer every question and reveal every mystery of God – the mysteries of salvation, meaning, purpose, eternity, love, life, and death.
“To live is Christ” means there is only one thing we know for sure, and therefore, only one thing we can talk about with confidence – the cross. We don’t need anything beyond the ultimate reality of Christ crucified for us. No more answers. No more knowledge. No more experiences. Just knowing Christ and him crucified as our power for daily living and loving others.
“To live is Christ” is unlike any other religion on earth. It is all of Christ and all of his grace. He has freely given us his life and all that comes with it – wisdom, goodness, holiness, freedom. We have been given these things for free in order to freely be these things. Not to earn, not to achieve, not to boast, but to freely reflect the love and grace of God that came down from the mountain top to bring righteousness, sanctification, and redemption to a lost world.
“To live is Christ” is unbroken fellowship with Christ. A partnership with Jesus that will never end because God is faithful. A partnership with Jesus that is then lived out in the community of love where we learn to trust God’s love for us and share his love with one another.
“To live is Christ” means my only boast, my only honor, my only glory is the cross of Christ. I have done nothing to save myself. I have no ability to produce righteousness in myself. I have no hope apart from my co-crucifixion with Christ.
