“To live is Christ” means that now you are living up to your purpose as an image bearer. You are worshiping. You are serving. You are shaping the “formless” places and filling the “empty” spaces with the love of Christ in you.

May we today and every day pray, “Come Lord Jesus!”, while we remember that our Lord Jesus has already come into our hearts. This new year may we live as if we are already there. Let’s live as if “to live is Christ.”

This year don’t place your hope in the new year. Place your hope in the new creation, the new birth. Our new reality that is found in Christ and his unfailing covenant presence. And we don’t need a calendar change for that. No resolutions necessary. Just faith in “to live is Christ.”
