To live is Christ” means love for God and love for neighbor now has a power source – the indwelling love of Jesus that fills us with all of his self-giving love.
“To live is Christ” means no more fear of dying and no more fear of living. Why? Because my life is no longer being measured. It is no longer the standard by which I will be judged.
“To live is Christ” is about being shepherded. It’s about having the Good Shepherd of your soul lovingly guide you through every step of life by his grace and truth.
It is in the cross and the empty tomb that we see exactly who God is. The great I Am, our Light and our Life, is the One who would die for us and who would live for us forever.
Here’s the truly incredible thing. Transfiguration isn’t just for Jesus. It’s for you and me too. It’s for all who are in Christ.
