“To live is Christ” means no more being held hostage by our doubts of God’s love. The man Christ Jesus has opened the way to the Father forever.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means no more being held hostage by our doubts of God’s love. The man Christ Jesus has opened the way to the Father forever.
The growing and progressing Christian knows that life only comes out of death and defeat. Trusting the Spirit to minister the death of the old and the life of the new in us as we choose more and more to trust in “to live is Christ.”
Now, in Christ, God’s first word to us is always grace. And his second word to us is faith. “I love you…so trust me…” “Christ is alive in you…so to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” has placed us both into Christ, and therefore into one another. Through this mutual koinonia we can now live out the great exchange of Jesus for each other. Sharing our position of freedom in Christ with those who desperately need his grace.
“To live is Christ” allows us to continue Christ’s mission of tearing down all walls of separation between us. First in our individual hearts, and then in every part of our society. Allowing our radical equality to remove all our notions of both superiority and inferiority, and to unite us as dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.
“To live is Christ” has made God’s love the controlling force in our lives. Now we can appeal to one another from his love, not just his authority. From Christ, not compulsion.
