Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
To live is Christ is to not only be like Christ, but it is to also recognize how we will never be like Christ. We will never be creator, sustainer, God anointed by God. Jesus is the only human that can also claim such divinity. He alone bridges God and man, and praise God that bridge will never be burned.
To live is Christ removes the sacrifice for sin and replaces it with the sacrifice of praise. It replaces duty with delight.
How do you live when your conscience is finally clear? Faith, hope, and love. Unwavering hope in eternal life earned for us by Christ, and given to us in Christ. Fully assured faith ever drawing us toward our faithful God with all confidence. And thoughtful love that purposefully moves us toward each other in courage and kindness. This is the religion free life. This is Christ’s church. This is “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” is to live from our full and free sanctification in Jesus, by Jesus, and for Jesus. Because we have been sanctified, we are being sanctified. Our consecration is now our response to our sanctification in Christ. Never the other way around.
