You see, your transfiguration into Christ-likeness is not simply about you becoming more morally upright or pious. It’s about the process of dying to your selfishness and resurrecting unto the glory of a grace filled life. It’s about “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” is the rest and ease of being yoked to Jesus and his life. A yoke that brings us into the love of the Trinity where everything our heart needs is provided by the indwelling life of our gentle Savior. Ahhhhhhh.
If “to live is Christ,” then to live is to live the crucified life. A life made possible by our death with Jesus that has ended all striving, all earning, and all performing. And when all of that SELF is stripped away, now you can truly find your life in losing it.
“To live is Christ” offers us the hard path of Jesus’ own life and righteousness, and the narrow gate of his grace and forgiveness. Which gate will you walk through today? Which road will you choose to travel?
