Don’t desperately search for your love for Christ. Seek first his love for you. Then you might just find that you share that love. You’ll find out that your faith is real. You’ll know that “to live is Christ.”
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
Don’t desperately search for your love for Christ. Seek first his love for you. Then you might just find that you share that love. You’ll find out that your faith is real. You’ll know that “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” will you get you home. How do I know? Because you are the joy that has been set before Jesus. You are his prize. His reward. His love. And now he is yours. So look to him. And run. Run to the arms of the one who has already run to you.
“To live is Christ” means placing all our hope in the unseen things of God. It is fixing our eyes on Jesus and his cross, where what was seen appeared godless and faith destroying, but what was unseen was the fullness of God in Christ.
How do you live when your conscience is finally clear? Faith, hope, and love. Unwavering hope in eternal life earned for us by Christ, and given to us in Christ. Fully assured faith ever drawing us toward our faithful God with all confidence. And thoughtful love that purposefully moves us toward each other in courage and kindness. This is the guilt free life. This is Christ’s church. This is “to live is Christ.”
Remember, this is NOT about exhorting others to have more faith in their faith. It’s about exhorting one another to simply trust our Savior Jesus and our union with him. To remember that “to live is Christ” is a day by day experience of Jesus that lasts to the end, and beyond.
“To Live is Christ” is a marathon. A grace race that we faithfully run ’til the end. By grace we are in the race, by grace we run the race, and by grace we will finish the race. Will you keep the faith in God’s amazing grace until the final day? I pray you will.
