Now we wait for the rescue. For the great advent. The world around us will shake and crumble. But our Beloved has seen our faith and will come just in time to bring us home to his land, his family, his heart.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
Now we wait for the rescue. For the great advent. The world around us will shake and crumble. But our Beloved has seen our faith and will come just in time to bring us home to his land, his family, his heart.
The more and more you believe that you have freely and graciously been given everything you need for life and godliness by your Savior King you will, quite naturally, be determined to add these gifts on to your life by faith in Christ.
This Christmas season may we be the sons of Abraham. The children of faith. Faith in all the promises of God. Faith in the return of THE Son. And faith in our union with Christ that sustains us in our waiting by his love.
Don’t desperately search for your love for Christ. Seek first his love for you. Then you might just find that you share that love. You’ll find out that your faith is real. You’ll know that “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” will you get you home. How do I know? Because you are the joy that has been set before Jesus. You are his prize. His reward. His love. And now he is yours. So look to him. And run. Run to the arms of the one who has already run to you.
“To live is Christ” means placing all our hope in the unseen things of God. It is fixing our eyes on Jesus and his cross, where what was seen appeared godless and faith destroying, but what was unseen was the fullness of God in Christ.
