Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means that we live beyond the Passover. Our union with Christ’s cross has destroyed our sins once for all. And our union with Christ’s resurrection has placed us into God himself. Not an appeased God who moves on. A pleased God who moves in.
“To live is Christ” means that God has fulfilled every one of his promises to you in Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to have the imminent love and grace of God protecting our hearts as we are filled with the transcendent burning power of his goodness, justice, and righteousness.
What is guiding your heart this Christmas season? Is it your union with Christ and his presence that brings you hope, and peace, and joy? Have you checked your happiness meter lately?
“To live is Christ” means that God is for us, and nothing against us will stand. The proof is Christ. His death FOR US and our union WITH HIM. The proof is the completion of our salvation. Conformity to Christ’s likeness and our brotherhood with him. Everything that is Christ’s is now the all things that God will give us one day.
“To live is Christ” means that the de-creation and re-creation work of God in us is finished. We are the new creation. Right now!
