To live is Christ is to trust the power of God in the love of Christ.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
To live is Christ is to trust the power of God in the love of Christ.
To live is Christ allows us to move from despair to freedom on this same path as David with God as our helper, and the Lord Jesus as the upholder of our life, seeing beyond the insolence around us and looking in triumph on our enemies.
To live is Christ is to behold the perfection of God’s beauty in the judgment of God upon the cross, and to be gathered to God as his faithful ones trusting in the covenant by sacrifice. Not trusting our own obedience in any form, but rather trusting his judgment for our disobedience at Zion’s hill.
To live is Christ is to know that Jesus died alone so that we would never be alone, not even in death.
“To live is Christ” means that in suffering we can share in Christ, and in his acceptance by God. We can share in his friendship with the Spirit. We can share in his courage, and in his holiness. We can share in his goodness and compassion, in his love, in his very life. And then, one day, we WILL share in his eternal glory.
“To live is Christ” is to experience the fullness of God in Christ, the fullness freely given to us by Christ’s own emptying, so that then we can, like Jesus, empty our lives out in humility and grace for the glory of God and the good of others.
