“To live is Christ” is to be rescued, ransomed, and set apart in holiness. Rescued from the power of sin. Ransomed from the penalty of sin. And therefore set apart from sin’s pleasure into the greater pleasure of God’s grace in Christ.

November 24, 2020. Day 329: By means of his own blood.
This is the result of the Christ event – all who are in Christ are will live every day, forever, in the glory of Christ’s once-for-all-time redemption. We will live every day, forever, with a clear conscience, knowing we are freed from all the guilt of our dead works and freed unto all the true humanity of serving the living God. We will spend every day, forever, in “to live is Christ.”
May 26, 2020. Day 147: This is my blood of the covenant.
“To live is Christ” is to sit at the Lord’s table and partake of all the benefits of his life and his death. His forgiveness. His suffering. His resurrection. His cleansing. His acceptance. His inheritance. In Christ we have taken it all into our being. Now our life of suffering is fellowship, not appeasement. Our partaking has become our participation. To choose to love, to choose to sacrifice for another, is to feast on Christ until that day we feast with Christ new in the kingdom of God.
January 26, 2020. Day 26: When I see the blood, I will pass over you.
“To live is Christ” means that we live beyond the Passover. Our union with Christ’s cross has destroyed our sins once for all. And our union with Christ’s resurrection has placed us into God himself. Not an appeased God who moves on. A pleased God who moves in.
