“To live is Christ” removes all fear of man. As we more and more trust that God is for us and that the light of his life is in us, we will be released from being controlled by the actions, opinions, and acceptance of others.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.

So read Psalm 51 and cry out “Thank you blessed Trinity!” Thank you for your abundant mercy in Christ that has restored to me the joy of my salvation, and upheld me with a willing spirit. Thank you for creating in me a forever clean heart. Thank you for eternal life. Thank you for “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” has made beholding God and his grace in Jesus not only our greatest good but also our greatest desire. As we rest IN CHRIST, gazing at his glorious grace on the cross, the CHRIST IN US is being formed, transforming us into that same grace filled Jesus.
“To live is Christ” means that nothing can separate us from God. In Christ even sin can’t move us away from God, only deeper into the grace of God’s cleansing forgiveness. And in his love every sorrow is a movement deeper into the fellowship of the suffering of Christ. Into deeper satisfaction.
“To live is Christ” means God himself is our joy and pleasure. Not his “blessings” for good behavior. But his presence by his grace. The indwelling presence of God in Christ as our path of life. This is far more than just avoiding death. This is abundant life. This is forever Love.
What is man? Who am I? Why would God care about me? Because “to live is Christ.” Because Christ has restored us to our place as the image bearers of God.
