Because we are in Christ the outcome of our faith is guaranteed and guarded by God himself. We cannot fail any more than Jesus himself has failed.
December 3, 2020. Day 338: Born again to a living hope.
“To live is Christ” is our living hope. May all lesser hopes point our hearts to the ultimate hope of our future with Jesus, and with the Father. With the eternal love and glory of the Trinity. And may our living hope change how we live today. Free from manufacturing a dying hope from the present moment. And free to live our sorrowful today as if it is our glorious tomorrow.
December 2, 2020. Day 337: May the God of peace equip you with everything good.
You have the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, living inside of you. Point to him. Not yourself. Point to the Shepherd. Point to his death and resurrection. Point to his eternal covenant. Point to “to live is Christ.”
December 1, 2020. Day 336: But you have come to Mount Zion.
“To live is Christ” has taken you from Mount Sinai to Mount Zion. But at which mountain are you worshiping in your heart and mind? In Christ you have made it to Zion! Today, will you worship God in the beauty of his glory and grace with all the saints and angels, trusting in Jesus, our great mediator, alone? Or will you run back to the terror of the law?
November 30, 2020. Day 335: Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.
“To live is Christ” will you get you home. How do I know? Because you are the joy that has been set before Jesus. You are his prize. His reward. His love. And now he is yours. So look to him. And run. Run to the arms of the one who has already run to you.
November 29, 2020. Day 334: Without faith it is impossible to please him.
“To live is Christ” means placing all our hope in the unseen things of God. It is fixing our eyes on Jesus on the cross, where what was seen appeared godless and faith destroying, but what was unseen was the fullness of God in Christ.
