“To live is Christ” means that you have been given the righteousness of Christ. His holiness. His standing. His acceptance. His perfection. His belonging. His worthiness. Now our weakness is no longer shaming.
August 20, 2020. Day 233: My power is made perfect in weakness.
“To live is Christ” means admitting weakness. And it means receiving grace. A grace that allows us to boast in our weakness that we may learn to love with all the love of the cross.
August 19, 2020. Day 232: Take every thought captive to obey Christ.
The Christian life is not about the pride filled journey of getting better and better. It is about the never ending need for grace.
August 18, 2020. Day 231: Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
“To live is Christ” is to constantly share every part of our lives with others to the glory of God and the good of all.
August 17, 2020. Day 230: Godly grief. Worldly grief.
“To live is Christ” does not mean that we won’t sin (obviously). But it does mean that when we sin, and when we are confronted, we have a chance to respond with godly grief.
August 16, 2020. Day 229: Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing.
“To live is Christ” is to constantly sorrow and constantly rejoice. This kind of living in both columns at once is only possible in Christ.
