“To live is Christ” means no more wondering what is the meaning of life. It is Christ. Our worthy Lamb. It is living for his glory as his co-regents on earth. Someday? Yes. Today? Yes. Every day? By his grace.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means no more wondering what is the meaning of life. It is Christ. Our worthy Lamb. It is living for his glory as his co-regents on earth. Someday? Yes. Today? Yes. Every day? By his grace.
“To live is Christ” is to be found in this cosmic Christ. The one who is the beginning and end of all things. Anything less is too small a view of Christ. Anything less than an Alpha and Omega will never sustain us. It might give us a nice holiday, but not a lifetime of living water. In the suffering of life we must begin and end with Jesus, for all things begin and end with him.
“To live is Christ” is to live each day within this revelation of Jesus Christ. Our loving Lord. Our sanctifying savior. Our commissioning Christ. Look down and see him in a manger laid, your humble savior. Look up and see him coming with the clouds of heaven, your glorious king.
“To live is Christ” allows us to live this blameless life. No more blame means no more blame shifting. No more excuses or cover ups. Just perfect love allowing us to both take responsibility for our lives, and, at the same time to turn our lives over to Jesus. The one with all glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
Of this we can be certain – the Son of God will keep us. So now we must keep ourselves. We must guard our hearts. Not as self-salvation, for that would BE idolatry. But as those who are from God, who know God, who are in God, who possess his eternal life. As those who “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” means we are a part of the greatest conquest of all time – the victory of Christ Jesus over the world.
