“To live is Christ” means the ultimate prayer, “Lord, please show me your glory,” has been answered once and for all. It is Jesus.
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
“To live is Christ” means the ultimate prayer, “Lord, please show me your glory,” has been answered once and for all. It is Jesus.
May we today and every day pray, “Come Lord Jesus!”, while we remember that our Lord Jesus has already come into our hearts. Let’s live as if we are already there. Let’s live as if “to live is Christ.”
You see, January 1 will just be another day. Nothing new under that sun. But in THE SON all things are already new in our hearts. Don’t place your hope in the new year. Place your hope in the new creation, the new birth. Our new reality that is found in Christ and his unfailing covenant presence. And we don’t need a calendar change for that. No resolutions necessary. Just faith in “to live is Christ.”
The end of days is us and Jesus both finally equally righteous. Both finally equally in love. Both finally equally safe in each other’s arms.
We can have real joy in the midst of this great battle, for our dwelling is no longer the earth and sea but ours are the heavenly places, for we are seated with Christ at the right hand of God. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! That’s us! That’s “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” means no more wondering what is the meaning of life. It is Christ. Our worthy Lamb. It is living for his glory as his co-regents on earth. Someday? Yes. Today? Yes. Every day? By his grace.
