“To live is Christ” is this daily process of knowing, considering, and presenting. Knowing you are dead to sin. Considering yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus. And then presenting your actions to God as his own actions in the world.

“To live is Christ” is the daily, moment by moment, discipline of considering who you really are. You are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. This is your new reality. A new glorious reality that we are called to both rest in and walk in.
ve is Christ” means your sin has already once and for all time been dealt with by the cross. Do you know this? Do you believe this? Once you do, you can start the painful process of crucifying the flesh and its selfish desires by faith in God’s saving grace.
“To live is Christ” is to continue to allow the law to reveal your abounding sin, and then to turn to the super abounding grace of God in Christ. A grace that can never be stopped as it leads us through righteousness and into eternal life.
“To live is Christ” means we are justified by God’s grace. Which in turn means we have peace with God, access into grace, the hope of glory, and even joy in suffering. Now Jesus can get to work building in us the endurance, character, hope, and love needed to declare his greatness to the world around us.
But “to live is Christ” is the constant realization that I never did earn it, I never will earn it, and I am not currently earning it. My sin is too massive. But praise God, his grace is more massive.
