“To live is Christ” means that God’s peace dwells in our hearts because, through our union with Christ, God is as pleased with us as he is with his Son.

The virgin Mary didn’t make Jesus’ life. Jesus was a gift to her. His life was given by God and placed into her life. United to hers. By grace. The same grace that is for us all. Why? Because advents are for everyone. God is for everyone. Jesus is for everyone. Will you be for him?

“To live is Christ” means Jesus has washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
An Angelic Advent. Day 21: The angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard.”
Our longings, our desires, our waiting, our prayers are all meant to take our hearts deeper into the realities of the coming of Christ.

Yahweh saves is who we are and what we do. His name shared with us in Christ. His name written upon our hearts making “to live is Christ” our identity, our mission, our glory, forever. Amen.

Receiving Christ as both your Savior and your Judge means receiving the advent of his life into yours. The power of an everlasting guilt free life. A life of no condemnation. A life of shining like the brightness of the sky above.
