Now we can live openly in front of God in his presence. Confessing what we’ve done with the full assurance of a grace and kindness that will never let us go. That’s “to live is Christ.”
Learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ.
Now we can live openly in front of God in his presence. Confessing what we’ve done with the full assurance of a grace and kindness that will never let us go. That’s “to live is Christ.”
“To live is Christ” means we are God’s finished work. His good work. There is absolutely nothing left for us to achieve, or produce, or prove in this life.
Christ is our ezer. Our helper. The seed of the woman brought to us by God to fulfill all that is lacking in us. To protect, support, shield, deliver, comfort, and strengthen us through his death on the cross.
Christ came to show us what living truly is. Not self-determination, but self-sacrifice. Not independence, but dependence upon God’s grace.
“To live is Christ” is to receive the life of God in the person of Christ. Life beyond your life. A life that offers you hope beyond your own accomplishments and achievements. A life that offers you love for love’s sake. For God’s sake.
“To live is Christ” means Christ has come into the formlessness and emptiness of our lives. He has come to be the priest of our garden heart. To work and keep it by his life changing love.
