We live in between the ages. In the “already but not yet.” Ours is a quiet place. A place of waiting for resurrection. A place of suffering and sorrow.
“To live is Christ” means that now only one “work” remains for the people of God – Sing aloud! Rejoice and exult with all your heart! Worship. Praise. The work is done!
As both victim and oppressor Jesus died for sin. As both victim and oppressor we are free from sin’s effect.
“To live is Christ” means we are the righteous who are alive by faith in Christ, and are now living out that faithfulness of Christ. No matter what.
Love is not a law to be kept. It’s a life to be lived. And it’s a life that has already been lived. By Jesus. For you.
