“To live is Christ” means that we live beyond the Passover. Our union with Christ’s cross has destroyed our sins once for all. And our union with Christ’s resurrection has placed us into God himself. Not an appeased God who moves on. A pleased God who moves in.
“To live is Christ” means that God has fulfilled every one of his promises to you in Christ.
“To live is Christ” is to have the imminent love and grace of God protecting our hearts as we are filled with the transcendent burning power of his goodness, justice, and righteousness.
“To live is Christ” is not a promise that God will prevent evil in our lives. But it is a promise that God will weave that evil into something beautiful in you. And that beauty is Christ himself.
“To live is Christ” is to live in the blessing of the wound of Christ. The wound he took for us, and the wound he gives to us. The wound that comes when our selfish pride is finally replaced with the blessing of living in complete submission to God.
