Jesus, the connector of heaven and earth, has come to us and connected our lives to his own. Now like the angels, we are ascending and descending on the ladder of Christ.

When you believe that you have freely and graciously been given everything you need for life and godliness by your Savior King you will, quite naturally, be determined to add these gifts on to your life by faith in Christ.

This is what our union with Christ offers us. Not only a savior, but a God who can be known, and a God who can know us. Only in this are we truly satisfied.

Do you really believe that you have already been given everything you need for life and godliness today, and every day? Or are you still waiting on God to give you more than Jesus’ life? Are you still waiting for God to do more than the cross? More than the resurrection? More than “to live is Christ?”
An Angelic Advent. Day 4: He placed the cherubim to guard the way to the Tree of Life.
Praise God Genesis 3 is not the last chapter of the Bible. Praise God the final word of God to man is not “leave my presence forever.” Praise God his final word is Jesus. The word of life. The word of love. The word of grace. The Word of God!

“To live is Christ” is exaltation and glory by God but only through our humility and dependence on Christ. May Christ’s humble heart for us humble our own hearts for him.
