“To live is Christ” means that exile is God’s plan for us. But it is not his final plan. Living in the presence of Christ in his eternal city is our future and our hope. Christ in us the hope of glory, living in us as we live in exile.
“To live is Christ” means that Jesus has replaced your broken cistern of deadly water with his indwelling river of living water. Jesus, the spring of water welling up to eternal life (John 4:14), is IN YOU. No more digging holes to satisfy your desires. No more searching for satisfaction. Just drinking from his ever present stream of thirst quenching love.
“To live is Christ” means you can live fearlessly. You can love recklessly. You can give all of yourself away today. Knowing that all the earth is yours in Christ and all will be restored in his presence.
“To live is Christ” is possible only when we receive the good news of what Jesus has done for all of us poor and powerless on his cross. Why not turn to him today in faith and find the freedom of his unconditional love and grace?
Find hope in knowing that right now, in this moment, you are full of the light and glory of God.
“To live is Christ” is a work of resting. God’s own arm has brought him salvation. And God’s Arm has brought you his salvation. So step down from your throne and step off the stage and let Christ do what he does best – save you.
